Fatal Tarrant County shooting death of Kristy Denise Harrison
The authorities have officially named the individual killed during a weekend shooting incident in Tarrant County. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased as Kristy Denise Harrison, who was 35 years old and resided in Birmingham.
According to reports, Ms. Harrison was present at a holiday event on Saturday when, around 10:40 p.m., an unknown individual drove past her home and opened fire. The shots were aimed at a house located in the 1400 block of Ford Avenue. She sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after, at approximately 10:49 p.m.
Investigators indicate that Ms. Harrison was not the intended target in this tragic incident. Police Chief Wendell Major stated that there was a separate confrontation earlier that day, around 4 p.m., which stemmed from a disagreement involving a vehicle. During that event, threats were made and shots were fired, but thankfully, no one was hurt.
