Oklahoma City law enforcement have confirmed the identity of a man killed during a criminal shooting incident that took place in the city’s northwest sector. The incident occurred on Monday, September 1, 2025, during the early hours of the day.
Initial reports indicate emergency services were dispatched following a disturbance call around 12:25 a.m. at West Park Place, a location near the intersection of Northwest 10th Street and Meridian Avenue. Upon their arrival, responding officers encountered a deceased individual who had sustained gunshot wounds.
The Oklahoma City Police Department (OCPD) officially identified the deceased as Luis Lopez, a 29-year-old resident. Preliminary investigation results reveal that Lopez was engaged in a verbal or physical confrontation with an unidentified suspect, which directly resulted in the fatal shooting.
