Fatal Little Cottonwood Canyon plane crash death of Christopher Marx
The Salt Lake County law enforcement agency has confirmed the identities of the individuals involved in the aerial mishap that occurred on Sunday. This event resulted in the loss of one life and left another individual requiring intensive medical care.
Christopher Marx, who was 55 years old, lost his life as a direct result of the aviation incident. He was discovered deceased by emergency personnel upon their arrival at the location. Alex Dulude, who was 40 years old, sustained serious injuries during the accident. He was transported via helicopter to a healthcare facility at the University of Utah for urgent treatment.
Earlier reports indicated that a small aircraft, containing two people, crashed on August 31 at approximately 5:31 p.m. at a spot known as the Albion Basin, which is situated close to the popular ski resort named Alta.
People enjoying outdoor activities in the region, including hikers, were the first to provide assistance upon witnessing the accident. They promptly contacted emergency services upon discovering the wreckage. Responding agencies included the Unified Fire Authority and the Alta Marshalls Office, who worked together to manage the situation.
