Samuel Ericksen, identified by police, is reported to have fatally shot three individuals before subsequently turning the weapon on himself in Mount Washington on the 31st of August.
The fatal shooting, occurring around 1:30 p.m., happened near a residence located at the intersection of Beacon Street and Glade Avenue. According to law enforcement, Samuel Ericksen, aged 26, is accused of shooting 22-year-old Eden Adugna and 20-year-old Feven Adugna at the scene. Bemnet Deresse, aged 27, was also shot and transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he unfortunately passed away.
Samuel Ericksen then directed the firearm towards himself, suffering serious injuries. He was taken to the same medical facility on the same day, but unfortunately, his self-inflicted wound proved fatal by the following day, the 2nd of September.
Eden Adugna and Feven Adugna, who were both employed at Good Samaritan Hospital, did not survive; they died where the incident occurred. Bemnet Deresse was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries there.
The link between Samuel Ericksen and the three victims has not been immediately established by authorities. The incident is currently being investigated by police.
