Luis Alberto Deras and Anthony “Pnut” Andres Reynoza Monchez die in fatal Newark car crash
Family members grieve the deaths of two East Bay men killed in a one-vehicle accident in Newark. Luis Alberto Deras, 31, from Union City, and Anthony “Pnut” Andres Reynoza Monchez, 33, from Hayward, suffered fatal injuries following their vehicle collision. One of the men was thrown from the car during the incident. The serious crash took place near the intersection of Thornton Avenue and Hickory Street shortly before 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
The Newark Police Department confirmed that Anthony “Pnut” Andres Reynoza Monchez was driving at the time of the collision. Luis Alberto Deras was identified as the passenger in the vehicle.
