The Muscogee County official in charge of determining the cause of death identified the individual who lost their life in the vehicular incident occurring late on Saturday in Columbus. According to a communication from the Columbus Police Department’s official social media channel, emergency responders were dispatched to the Manchester Expressway location to address an event involving a car and a person on foot. Coroner Buddy Bryan officially confirmed that the deceased was a 46-year-old woman named Sara Williams. Williams was pronounced deceased at 10:58 p.m. on Saturday at the hospital where she was taken after being hit by the car.
The ongoing investigation into the fatal collision is being directed by the specialized motor vehicle unit of the Columbus Police Department, as reported in the official post.
