Fatal Farmington car crash death of Adam Peppe

A man from Brewster lost his life on Monday when his car was stationary along the shoulder of Interstate 84 in Connecticut. He exited the vehicle in that location, and an unfortunate collision subsequently occurred.

According to details provided by Connecticut State Police, the incident unfolded in the eastbound direction of the highway, specifically within Farmington. The accident involved three separate automobiles. Authorities confirmed that Adam Peppe, who was 34 years old, was the individual who did not survive.

Investigators reported that the scene included Peppe’s car, which was parked adjacent to a construction truck. The operator of that truck, a man from Massachusetts, and a resident of Putnam were seen conversing, as per police statements. However, for reasons that remain unclear, a Dodge Ram van driven by a man from Cheshire, Connecticut, swerved off the roadway and onto the shoulder. It then collided with Peppe before stopping.

Emergency services transported Peppe to a nearby medical facility, but he was later declared deceased. Meanwhile, the truck driver received care for slight injuries at Hartford Hospital. The van driver was attended to by emergency medical teams at the scene and suffered minor damages. Notably, a child who was a passenger in Peppe’s vehicle sustained no injuries.
