Subsequently, on Sunday, another individual named Pang Foua Yang, aged thirty-six, lost her life following a vehicular impact in the Como neighborhood area. According to law enforcement officials, officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Stinson Street due to reports of a collision. Upon arrival, they found Ms. Yang without any signs of consciousness or spontaneous breathing. Emergency medical professionals from the St. Paul Fire Department assessed the situation and pronounced her deceased at the scene.
Further details indicate that the driver involved in Ms. Yang’s fatal accident managed to stop his vehicle in a backyard area before emergency responders arrived. The specific sequence of events leading to the impact remains under investigation.
Separately, regarding the Saturday incident, dispatchers received a call around 12:45 a.m. concerning a collision on Maryland Avenue and Clarence Street. The individual behind the wheel of the vehicle involved in Mr. Phongdesawat’s accident voluntarily contacted emergency services and remained present at the scene. He provided information indicating he was traveling westbound on Maryland Avenue, crossing Clarence Street, when he allegedly failed to notice Mr. Phongdesawat before making contact.
Emergency medical technicians attended to Mr. Phongdesawat and conveyed him to a medical institution for further treatment. Medical personnel at the hospital subsequently confirmed his demise.
In both tragic situations, the drivers involved are reported to have stayed at the locations and worked together with the responding law enforcement officers throughout the incident resolution process.
