Christopher Washington dies in fatal Montgomery shooting
Fatal Montgomery shooting death of Christopher Washington
The Montgomery police department initiated a murder probe after a fatal shooting occurred on Sunday morning. A spokesperson for the Montgomery Police Department, Lieutenant Ernestina McGriff, confirmed that responding officers were dispatched to a location near the 2400 block of East South Boulevard following reports of gunfire.
Law enforcement personnel encountered three individuals at the scene, McGriff stated. One male and one female suffered potentially life-threatening injuries from the gunshot wounds, while a third female sustained less severe wounds. All three injured persons received medical attention at a nearby hospital.
Tragically, despite receiving treatment, 21-year-old Christopher Washington did not survive his injuries and passed away at the hospital. McGriff noted that currently, no further details regarding the incident are available as ongoing investigations continue.
This marks the second murder investigation being opened by local authorities over the weekend, specifically starting September 26th.
