Fountain law enforcement have officially identified the individual who was struck and killed in the intersection collision involving a motorcycle as 44-year-old Sharla Willer, a statement from authorities released Wednesday confirmed.

The unfortunate incident happened around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, with responding officers encountering two people requiring serious medical attention upon their arrival at the scene.

Tragically, Ms. Willer was pronounced deceased at the location, while the motorcyclist was transported to a medical facility with critical injuries that required immediate attention.

According to the ongoing investigation, the preliminary findings indicate the motorcyclist was heading southbound on Colorado 85 when the pedestrian, identified as Ms. Willer, was crossing the northern crosswalk area in the east-west direction against the established traffic signals.

Further examination by investigators has determined that substances such as alcohol or drugs were not considered contributing factors in this devastating accident.

Investigators determined the motorcyclist was traveling southbound and the pedestrian was in the northern cross walk going east to west against the crossing indicator, the release stated. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the incident.
