Fatal Jackson County car crash death of Lillian Byrd
Officials confirmed Lillian Byrd, aged sixty-eight, as the individual who perished. This occurred following a serious collision involving multiple vehicles on Highway 613, which took place the previous day.
Investigations by the Mississippi Highway Patrol indicate Ms. Byrd was driving a 2020 Toyota Highlander northbound when it met head-on with a southbound 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The impact from this collision was severe.
As a direct consequence of the accident, Ms. Byrd was transported to a regional medical center. Regrettably, her condition deteriorated, leading to her passing later that evening at the facility. Another person involved in the incident, the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado, also sustained injuries requiring hospital treatment.
The multi-vehicle accident is currently being examined thoroughly by the Highway Patrol to determine all contributing factors and causes.
