Fatal Pittsburgh shooting death of Rayon Williams
The unfortunate event unfolded inside a business located on Pittsburgh’s South Side on Saturday afternoon. Authorities were dispatched to the location at East Carson Street around 1:00 p.m.
According to information released by the city’s Public Safety department, emergency responders pronounced the sole individual involved in the incident deceased by approximately 4:30 p.m. that same day.
On the following day, Sunday, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office officially identified the deceased person as Rayon Williams, a resident of McKeesport who was 25 years old. This confirmation provided closure regarding the victim’s identity.
Law enforcement authorities, specifically the Violent Crime Unit, apprehended a suspect named Myairah Carter later on Sunday morning. She is a 25-year-old woman from Baldwin. Charges of criminal homicide have been formally filed against Ms. Carter, and she is currently being held at the Allegheny County Jail facility. The ongoing investigation continues to gather additional information about the incident.
