Fatal Fresno County car crash death of David Solomon
Over the weekend, an Army National Guard member from Fresno County tragically lost their life in a non-duty-related car accident, according to officials. This individual was part of the joint task force between the guard and Cal Fire, a source confirmed for SFGATE newspaper.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning along Tollhouse Road near Van Vleet in Fresno County. Reports from the Fresno Bee indicate that Mr. Solomon’s vehicle collided with a tree and turned completely over, landing in a dry creek bed. Following Mr. Solomon’s absence from his nearby Cal Fire station, colleagues initiated a search for him, as reported by the outlet.
Upon the arrival of authorities, Mr. Solomon was discovered deceased inside his overturned vehicle. The Fresno Bee relayed that investigators have dismissed involvement of alcohol in the fatal accident. A California Highway Patrol officer informed KFSN-TV that notification of the crash was not made until at least an hour later, and available video footage showed the vehicle flipped at the base of a small hill in the Fresno County mountains.
The ongoing investigation into the fatal car crash is being handled by the California Highway Patrol, as stated by the department’s spokesperson. Further details regarding the tragic event remain undisclosed at this time.
