Emergency services were dispatched following reports of a serious multi-vehicle collision on Scenic Highway (Route 6) in Bourne. According to dispatch records, the first 9-1-1 calls regarding the incident were received around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Dispatches described a complex situation involving several damaged automobiles. Reports indicated multiple individuals suffered severe injuries, at least one vehicle was engulfed in flames, and occupants were trapped within the wreckage. Prompt action was taken by emergency responders.
Initial response was handled by the Bourne Fire Department, who arrived first on the scene. Their priority was bringing the blaze under control before providing immediate medical treatment. Upon their arrival, Bourne Police Officers took over, assisting with patient care and coordinating transport for all involved individuals to nearby medical facilities.
The total damage to the participating automobiles was significant. The vehicles present were a 2022 Red Hyundai Kona driven by a 23-year-old man from Carver, Massachusetts; a 2010 Blue Audi Q5 operated by a 46-year-old man from Lowell; and a 2025 Green BMW X1 piloted by a 53-year-old man from Truro.
Regrettably, the operator of the Hyundai Kona suffered critical injuries and, despite medical intervention, later passed away. Law enforcement officials confirmed the identity of the deceased as Paul A. Navarro.
