A fatal collision occurred in Colquitt County, resulting in the death of nineteen-year-old Kennajia Artheria Jaleah Seay. The Georgia State Patrol responded to the scene at the intersection of State Route 35 and State Route 33 around 3:50 p.m. on Friday, October 10th. According to the patrol, the crash involved a passenger sedan and a large semi-truck. Coroner Verlyn Brock confirmed the identity of the deceased.

Initial reports from the Georgia State Patrol indicate that Seay was operating the sedan and was attempting to execute a left turn onto State Route 33 from State Route 35 when the collision happened. At the same time, the semi-truck was traveling in the opposite direction on SR 35. The official account states that the rear of the semi-truck made contact with the side of Seay’s vehicle. Following the impact, both motor vehicles lost control and traveled off the road, coming to rest in a ditch located at the southwestern edge of the intersection.

Officials confirm that Seay was pronounced dead at the scene. The Georgia State Patrol is collaborating with the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office and the Moultrie Police Department as they continue their investigation into the incident.
