Fatal Sheldon car crash death of Aryanna Flemming

Law enforcement reported a serious accident occurred Friday evening in Sheldon, Vermont. The incident involved a collision on Route 105 that resulted in one fatality and one serious injury.

Investigators stated the first contact was made just before 6:30 p.m. by a trooper who attempted to stop a vehicle exceeding the speed limit. The officer noted the driver failed to pull over, and pursuit was not initiated.

However, about two minutes later, the officer located the vehicle involved in the crash. It was identified as a Honda Crosstour that had crashed head-on into a Toyota Tundra on Kane Road.

The driver of the Honda Crosstour, Aryanna Flemming, was identified as 18 years old and from Enosburgh. Medical examiners confirmed her death at the scene.

Further examination revealed Ms. Flemming lost control of her vehicle, leaving the roadway and crossing into oncoming traffic. This resulted in the head-on collision with the other vehicle, driven by Andrea Dillner.

Ms. Dillner, who is 36 years old and from Fletcher, suffered significant injuries. She was initially transported to Northwestern Medical Center and later transferred to UVM Medical Center in Burlington.

The affected stretch of Route 105 was temporarily closed for the ongoing investigation but has since been reopened to the public.
