The Rapid City, S.D., Department of Public Safety has officially listed the five victims, comprising four adults and one child, who lost their lives in the incident on South Dakota Highway 44 on October 1st.

The individuals involved were:
– Chad Lee Doyle Jr., aged 24 from Wanblee, identified as the driver
– Byron Joey Bear Killer, aged 23 from Allen
– Twila Whitney Hard Heart, aged 21 from Rapid City
– Danielle Lee Long Soldier, aged 33 from Wanblee
– A 10-year-old female, with her name and hometown kept private

According to the preliminary findings of the investigating team, the fatal accident occurred shortly before midnight, approximately three miles east of Scenic. The official report states that the driver, Chad Lee Doyle Jr., was unable to properly handle the vehicle when navigating a bend, leading to a loss of control.

The Honda Pilot subsequently veered off the roadway, entered a ditch, collided with a sloped bank, and subsequently ignited in flames.

Tragically, all five individuals did not survive the accident and passed away at the precise location of the crash.
