Fatal east Wichita car crash death of Timothy Verbeck
A severe traffic collision occurred in east Wichita on Saturday afternoon, resulting in one fatality. The incident took place around 3:25 p.m. at the intersection of Greenwich Street and Kansas Highway 254. Law enforcement officials reported that an SUV travelling north on Greenwich Street collided with a motorcycle proceeding east on K-254.

The driver of the motorcycle involved in the accident, identified as Timothy Verbeck, who was 64 years old and from El Dorado, passed away at the scene. The Kansas Highway Patrol confirmed that the deceased was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
The operator of the SUV, described as a female resident of Wichita aged 78, was transported to a medical facility. She reportedly suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was receiving treatment.
