Law enforcement agencies have confirmed the identities of the two occupants who lost their lives following a serious motor vehicle accident along Paisano Street in the western sector of El Paso on Sunday. The fatal collision involved a vehicle that was previously engaged in an extended pursuit with Border Patrol authorities.
The deceased individuals are identified as Axel Evarado Iquic-Sequen, a 30-year-old citizen of Guatemala, and Manuel Mateo Lopez, a 22-year-old from Mexico. According to official accounts, the automobile accelerated rapidly after executing a sharp U-turn on Paisano Street and moved westbound at a considerable velocity.
Preliminary reports from officials indicate that the driver’s inability to successfully navigate a curve resulted in the loss of vehicle control. The car subsequently collided with the curb and a traffic signal mast, leading to a violent overturn. Border Patrol involvement prior to the incident was confirmed, as the vehicle was part of an ongoing chase.
