The fatal Harvard, Illinois shooting death of Rachel Dumovich and Brandon
Preliminary police investigations revealed that both individuals sustained injuries from gunfire, with a weapon located inside the vehicle where their bodies were discovered.
According to details shared on their website, Rachel and Brandon were set to celebrate their first anniversary on October 12th, 2024.
Rachel’s account stated that she and Brandon had known each other for fifteen years before pursuing a romantic relationship in 2022. She mentioned Brandon’s proposal took place during the summer of 2023 on Big Cedar Lake in Slinger.
The county coroner’s office planned an autopsy on October 9th to determine the exact cause of death.
Harvard police have stated the incident appears accidental and poses no threat to the general public.
