Fatal Rhawnhurst shooting death of Xzavier Gregory
In Philadelphia, a fatal incident involving gunfire occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday in the 1700 block of Teesdale Street. Police responding to the scene discovered 16-year-old Xzavier Gregory found unresponsive, with a chest wound from a gunshot. He was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, but pronounced dead there.
Additionally, an 18-year-old woman was located at a nearby laundromat with an injury from a gunshot to her ankle. She received medical attention at the hospital and was reported in stable condition.
On Monday, homicide detectives and a special weapons team arrested 17-year-old Sahhir Mouzon at the 1800 block of Corlies Street regarding this event. Charges brought against Mouzon include murder, an offense related to recklessly endangering someone, and breaking firearm laws. Other people present at the Corlies Street spot at the time of the arrest were also brought in for questioning.
At the present time, no charges have been brought against anyone besides Mouzon. Police indicated that their investigation is still in progress.
