Cincinnati police have identified the individual who was killed during an early Sunday shooting in the Mt. Airy neighborhood. The deceased was 26-year-old Jhonny Jesus Mercado-Perez, according to the police department.
Dispatchers reported receiving a call at approximately 4:00 a.m. on Sunday regarding a shooting incident in the 5000 block of Hawaiian Terrace. When law enforcement arrived, they discovered the victim, Mr. Mercado-Perez, suffering from a gunshot wound.
The 26-year-old victim did not survive the injuries and passed away at the scene.
