Officials confirmed three fatalities from a serious collision on Saturday evening in Tucson’s southwestern area. The incident transpired around 8:10 p.m. near the intersection of West Ajo Way and Arizona 86, positioned just beyond the city limits.

According to the state Department of Public Safety’s statement, a Jeep Cherokee, operating as a ride-sharing vehicle, collided with a Ford Fusion while executing a left turn maneuver. Within the Jeep, two individuals—Aleesha Herrington, aged 25, and Dejon Nicole Weaver, aged 48—were pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Jeep was transported to a medical facility for treatment.

In the impacted Ford Fusion, a 17-year-old passenger, Julian Daniel Monte, also succumbed to their injuries. Two additional occupants of the Ford were admitted to the hospital, as reported by Drexel Heights Fire Department.
