Pittsburgh Action News affiliate reports police located a vehicle connected to the fatal shooting incident involving Kenneth Hayman, a 33-year-old man, near a Wendy’s restaurant in White Oak, Allegheny County, on Sunday afternoon.
The Elizabeth Township Police Department, representing White Oak officials, had previously issued a BOLO request for a dark gray or black Chevrolet Silverado. They sought information regarding this specific vehicle, which was suspected of being involved in the shooting that took place outside the Wendy’s located at the intersection of Jacks Run Road and Lincoln Way.
County law enforcement agencies, currently investigating the incident, stated they discovered Hayman outside the Wendy’s location shortly after 2 p.m. He was reported to be suffering from multiple gunshot injuries. Subsequently, Hayman was transported to a hospital, where his death was later confirmed.
Allegheny County’s medical examiner’s office officially identified the deceased individual as 33-year-old Kenneth Hayman.
News coverage by Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 indicated the scene at the intersection featured 12 evidence markers surrounding a motorcycle following the shooting event.
Eyewitnesses provided accounts suggesting that Hayman was shot while riding his motorcycle. They reported hearing approximately nine gunshots and the sound of a car speeding away from the scene.
Law enforcement officials confirmed the recovery of the suspected vehicle late on Sunday night. Sources indicated the vehicle was believed to have been occupied by three or four individuals who were observed wearing face coverings.
The police authorities did not release the specific location where the vehicle was found.
As of Monday afternoon, no arrests had been made by the officials in charge of the investigation. It is believed that the suspects remain at large and possibly armed and dangerous.
