The coroner’s office confirmed that a 23-year-old woman, Vitaline Lepyuk, passed away on Tuesday morning after a one-car accident occurred during the week.
According to reports from the Solano County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office, the crash took place around 2:15 a.m. on the eastbound section of Interstate 80, near Manuel Campos Boulevard.
Vitaline Lepyuk was driving the vehicle when the incident occurred. She was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
A passenger in the vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Their current status was not updated as of Wednesday.
The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. The California Highway Patrol indicated that driving too fast for the wet road conditions was likely a contributing factor.
