Fatal Denham Springs car crash death of Robert Harrison
The Louisiana Highway Patrol reported that a serious traffic incident occurred on I-12 West at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 25. The event resulted in the death of the driver and closed several lanes of the highway.
Investigators from the Denham Springs Police Department stated that the collision was caused by a sudden tire failure. This malfunction forced the car to lose control and overturn, resulting in a severe accident.
Officials confirmed that the 76-year-old Robert Harrison, who resided in Port Allen, was operating the vehicle at the time of the incident. Due to the violent turn of events, Mr. Harrison was thrown from the car. Medical personnel pronounced him deceased at the accident scene.

However, drivers experienced continued delays for some period afterward.
