Fatal Ocala car crash death of Henry Morales
The Ocala Police Department is currently examining a collision from October 23 that resulted in a pedestrian fatality. Law enforcement identified the deceased as Henry Morales, a 35-year-old resident of Hialeah.
According to official reports, the incident happened near the 3700 block of Northwest Blitchton Road (U.S. 27) around 11 p.m. This location is situated just east of Interstate 75.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Mr. Morales and another man were walking along the southbound side of the road and attempted to cross at a point between the Quality Inn and the Marathon gas station. At that moment, Mr. Morales was struck by a 2011 white Chevrolet pickup truck traveling in the outside lane.
A witness, whose identity has not been disclosed, informed authorities that the driver involved briefly stopped after the collision before driving off without assistance.
