Loudoun County law enforcement officers are actively seeking information from the public following the discovery of a deceased individual shot near a residential complex in Ashburn on Saturday morning.
Upon receiving notification of gunfire occurring in the early hours of the morning, specifically around 7:20 a.m. near the 20000 block of Timber Ridge Terrace, sheriff’s deputies promptly responded to the scene. Close proximity to the Westmaren Condominiums led them to find one person deceased, having sustained a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services were immediately dispatched, transporting the injured individual to a regional hospital but unfortunately, the fatality was later confirmed at the medical facility.
Following the initial response, authorities secured the location quickly and apprehended the person believed responsible for the incident. This individual has been formally taken into custody while law enforcement works to determine the appropriate legal actions related to this tragedy.
Identifying information for the deceased has been released, confirming the victim as Billy Gamarra-Olarte, who was 34 years old and resided in Ashburn.
