Police were dispatched to the site at the intersection of Illinois Road and Sutton Avenue shortly before 4:45 a.m. on Friday. Reports indicated a collision had occurred.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement discovered a sedan, showing significant front-end damage, and a semi-truck was stationary nearby.
According to information provided by an FWPD officer, Sydney Grace Griffith was transported to a hospital in the area but was pronounced dead there. This incident marks her as the 36th individual killed in traffic accidents within Allen County this year.
