Fatal Pottawattamie County, Iowa car crash death of Til Baswa and a 2-year-old
A tragic collision on Iowa’s Interstate 880 resulted in the deaths of two people within Pottawattamie County on the prior night. The Iowa State Patrol confirmed that Til Baswa, who was 27, and a toddler aged two were pronounced deceased at the scene. The fatal incident unfolded around 7:00 p.m. when a vehicle involved stopped in the highway’s center lane after colliding with a deer.
The driver of that car, a 41-year-old, emerged unharmed from the accident. However, Baswa and the young child exited the stationary vehicle just moments before a different car, moving in the opposite direction, swerved to avoid hitting it. This evasive maneuver led to a secondary impact, causing the deaths of Baswa and the two-year-old. The Iowa State Patrol has initiated an investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding this deadly event.
