**Peter Wanjohi dies in fatal Tucson car crash**

Fatal Tucson car crash death of Peter Wanjohi

Tucson police have confirmed that a man has lost his life following injuries sustained when he was struck by a car on Sunday, October 26th.

The Tucson Police Department reported that Peter Wanjohi, who was 19 years of age, attempted to cross Kino Parkway, located south of 15th Street, against the flow of traffic. At the time of the incident, he was standing within a designated crosswalk.

Emergency services transported Wanjohi to a local hospital where he was listed as being in critical condition. Regrettably, he passed away a short time later.

The driver involved remained at the scene and willingly provided information to the investigating officers. A police officer from the DUI Unit conducted tests and concluded that the driver was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident.

No formal citations or criminal charges were filed as a result of the investigation, which is currently ongoing.
