Fatal Pittsburg County car crash death of Richard Phillips
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Thursday that a 28-year-old man, Richard Phillips from Quinton, died when his vehicle crashed near Etchinson Road on Highway 71.
According to the OHP, Phillips was driving south on the highway at 10:24 a.m. He lost control of his car at a point where the road bends and drove off the right side, landing in a ditch and flipping the vehicle.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed there were no passengers inside the vehicle during the incident.
