Fatal New Bedford car crash death of Gabriel Siqueira and a 15-year-old girl
Early Saturday morning, around 2 a.m., a serious collision occurred on Route 140 South in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Police were alerted to the incident by a 911 call. Officials reported that a 2019 Honda Civic was involved in the fatal accident. The vehicle sustained considerable damage, specifically to the passenger side, and ended up in a wooded area alongside the road. Two individuals were thrown from the vehicle during the crash. Gabriel Siqueira, a 17-year-old from West Yarmouth, was declared dead at the scene. He was identified by Dennis-Yarmouth Superintendent Marc Smith. Another 15-year-old girl, who suffered life-threatening injuries, was taken to a local hospital. Tragically, she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. A third teenager, an 18-year-old from Dartmouth, was hospitalized but suffered non-critical injuries. The Bristol County District Attorney’s office has not disclosed details about the driver’s condition. State Police and the District Attorney’s office are examining the cause of the crash and potential charges. Despite the investigation, it is currently unknown whether the driver could be held accountable. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. No further information is expected at this time.
