Clay County Coroner Lexi Gass formally identified the individual who died following an unfortunate collision with a deer. The deceased is identified as William Waggoner Jr., aged 55.
Waggoner Jr. was involved in the accident on State Road 46, located near County Road 200 East. This incident occurred during the very early morning hours of October 30th.
Local law enforcement reports from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office indicate that a deer entered the vehicle, specifically through the windshield, and directly collided with Mr. Waggoner Jr., resulting in his death.
Emergency response involved the Clay County Coroner’s Office, along with multiple fire departments from Center Point, Jackson, and Bowling Green. Star Ambulance Service also provided medical response at the scene.
