PITTSBURG COUNTY – Authorities in Pittsburg County have confirmed the deaths of three individuals connected to the drag racing event in Hartshorne over the weekend. Among them, Fire Chief Jim McCoy from Alderson lost his life in a serious vehicle accident on Saturday during the H-Town Throwdown Races. Officials from Pittsburg County Emergency Management provided the names of those killed at the weekend’s drag racing competition in Hartshorne.
Hartshorne Mayor Ashley Faulkner announced via social media that her husband, Justin, tragically died Friday while preparing for the event. The mayor reported that Mr. Faulkner’s death was the result of an accidental electrocution.
