Fatal Charleston County shooting death of Aden Gore

Charleston County officials confirmed the identity of the person killed at a downtown Halloween gathering on the weekend. The victim, Aden Gore, a 21-year-old from Charleston, passed away shortly before 12:45 a.m. at the scene on Morrison Drive according to the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.

Charleston police responded to the NoMo complex located at 930 Morrison Drive around 12:45 a.m. on Saturday after receiving reports of gunfire in the area. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found Aden Gore deceased inside a hallway at the property. Additionally, they discovered another man suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower leg. This individual was taken to a local medical facility with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Preliminary investigation suggests a confrontation occurred among people attending the Halloween celebration. It’s reported that this disagreement became increasingly intense, leading several individuals to engage in a shooting incident. College of Charleston students are known to reside at the NoMo complex, but law enforcement has stated that none of the main individuals involved in the event were students from the university. The college’s safety department has been informed by the police authorities.
