Fatal Meade County shooting death of Mary Crase
Following a considerable period of search, authorities identified a man sought by Kentucky State Police. This individual was located deceased.
According to a Kentucky State Police news release, investigators initiated the search for Scott Hornback, a 45-year-old resident of Irvington, following a report received by KSP Post 4 units.
Upon arriving at the scene in the Ekron community on November 3, officers discovered Mary Crase, a 55-year-old from Brandenburg, deceased. A preliminary examination indicated she suffered a wound consistent with a gunshot.
A spokesperson from the Kentucky State Police, Bryan Washer, indicated that Hornback was found around 9:30 p.m. Central time.
The person sought by the authorities is identified as Scott Hornback, who was believed to be Crase’s partner.
The ongoing investigation is supervised by Detective Travis Dalton. Assistance is provided by other detectives and troopers from Post 4, the Meade County Sheriff’s Office, and the Meade County Coroner’s Office.
