Fatal Santa Rosa car crash death of John Plasier Jr.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a man was killed in an incident involving his sport utility vehicle last month. This occurred after his SUV flipped off Highway 101 in Santa Rosa. John Plasier Jr., aged 55, resided in Kelseyville. He was driving his Ford Expedition northbound in the middle lane during the afternoon of October 16th when he lost control of the vehicle. The car swerved left, collided with the center median barrier, crossed all traffic lanes, then impacted a guardrail before rolling down into a ditch.
When responding officers arrived at the scene, they found the vehicle inverted, with its roof partially submerged in water. They removed Plasier from the overturned SUV and transported him to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. Despite the medical efforts, he was later pronounced deceased. The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office officially confirmed his identity. The Press Democrat reported that attempts to contact Plasier’s family were unsuccessful.
