Officials confirmed the identity of the deceased following a fatal collision. State law enforcement identified the victim as Janae L. Neese, whose age is listed as 26 years.
The serious accident occurred at 7:40 in the morning on Friday. It took place on Alabama 14, approximately ten miles to the east of Eutaw. According to local troopers.
A law enforcement officer detailed that Ms. Neese was operating a Hyundai Elantra. This vehicle contacted the rear of a Freightliner M2 garbage truck. The driver of the large vehicle was Demondre L. Pernell, who is 31 years old and a resident of Greensboro.
After the collision, the officer explained that the smaller car began to burn. The Hyundai was engulfed in flames after the initial contact.
Emergency medical services pronounced Ms. Neese deceased at the scene of the wreckage.
Two individuals were passengers inside the burning vehicle. A five year old and an eleven year old sustained injuries. They were transported by helicopter to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
Law enforcement agencies reported that their probe into the incident is still in progress.
