Fatal Toledo shooting death of Andreania Pruitt

Andreania Pruitt, a 32-year-old woman, was officially charged on Tuesday after a Lucas County grand jury reviewed the situation. The indictment stems from an assault that occurred over the weekend in the 2000 block of Starr Avenue. According to the charges, Pruitt is accused of pointing a firearm at a group of individuals, leading to the violent incident that resulted in one fatality and one serious injury.

Law enforcement arrived at the scene early Saturday morning, finding Devonta Miller, a 35-year-old man, suffering from multiple bullet wounds. Emergency services transferred him to a hospital, but his condition deteriorated, ultimately leading to his death. An official autopsy conducted by the Lucas County Coroner’s Office concluded the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds, confirming it as a homicide case.

Another person, described as a 39-year-old man, was also located at the scene and received medical attention at Toledo Hospital. His injuries were reported as severe but not immediately life-threatening. Police have stated that the incident began with a physical altercation between Pruitt and Miller before the shots were fired. Both individuals were reportedly in a romantic relationship at the time of the event.
