Police reports indicate that the teenager was shot in the head near 8:45 p.m. on Saturday at the front of an apartment complex on Eastern Parkway in the Crown Heights neighborhood. The mother of the deceased, who requested anonymity, described her son as an exceptional young man deeply involved in sports and enrolled in a prestigious school that aligned with his aspirations. She expressed profound grief, emphasizing her commitment to moving forward despite the immense loss she has suffered.
This young man, known to his family as “TJ,” had traveled from his home in the Bronx to visit friends in Brooklyn when the incident occurred. According to the grieving mother, she was communicating with him shortly before the fatal event. A witness at the apartment building reported hearing several shots being fired.
