The unfortunate death of Russell Marcouriel occurred in a fatal St. Louis shooting.
Police authorities in St. Louis have identified the individual responsible for the fatal shooting that took place on Saturday afternoon within the Carondelet neighborhood. Marcouriel, identified as being 63 years old, was fatally shot on the 7100 block of Alabama Avenue.
Family members of the deceased, Russell Marcouriel, shared information with local news outlets regarding his character. They described Marcouriel as a highly skilled handyman who took genuine pleasure in assisting his community. According to Kathy Barnes, who is the sister of Marcouriel, he was the proud parent of three children. She also noted that he was well-known for his strong faith and frequently shared religious texts with those he encountered.
Barnes expressed the community’s belief that the person who fired the weapon and led to Marcouriel’s death was likely someone Marcouriel had previously helped. Barnes mentioned that Marcouriel had even provided shelter to the suspect. The St. Louis Police Department confirmed ongoing investigations and stated that they are working towards apprehending the person responsible for the fatal shooting on Alabama Avenue.
