Law enforcement personnel were dispatched shortly before 5:20 p.m. to an address within the Waterdown Drive area, specifically the 200 block. Upon their arrival, they encountered a man, later confirmed to be Michael Whitfield, who was suffering the effects of a gunshot wound.
Whitfield was then transported to a medical facility; unfortunately, his injuries proved fatal. He passed away from those wounds.
