Fatal Flowery Branch shooting death of Adrian Gabriele Alexander and Mallory Jane Whitaker.
Law enforcement officials have confirmed the identities of the two people killed in a tragic incident witnessed by their minor child. The event unfolded in a residence within the community.
The fatal occurrence took place during the late afternoon of Saturday, specifically around 3 p.m., at a house situated in the 5400 block of Bushnell Court. This location was central to the unfolding drama.
Investigators from Hall County revealed on Tuesday that a 51-year-old man, identified as Adrian Gabriele Alexander, who was a resident of Flowery Branch, is linked to the death of a 50-year-old woman from Gainesville named Mallory Jane Whitaker. Alexander allegedly used a firearm to end her life before turning it on himself, leading to his own demise.
Earlier details from authorities indicate that the child observed the violent scene and used a communication app to inform a friend about the situation while taking cover in a closet to ensure her safety.
The friend relayed the information to their own parents, who then contacted emergency responders by calling 911, as per the initial statements provided by law enforcement.
When emergency personnel entered the property, they discovered Mallory Jane Whitaker’s body near the main entrance of the home. Evidence showed she had been struck by multiple bullets from a gun.
In the basement, Adrian Gabriele Alexander was found deceased, with the cause of death attributed to a self-inflicted wound from a firearm. This finding was reported by the responding officers.
The child involved in the incident was not injured, and medical professionals confirmed that she sustained no physical harm.
This case is being treated as a potential murder-suicide by the investigating agency, with ongoing efforts to piece together the events that led to the shooting.
