According to reports received from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a man identified as Jack R. Lane from Hugo lost his life on Tuesday morning following an unfortunate intersection with a large commercial truck along U.S. Highway 70.
Law enforcement officers reported that this tragic event occurred approximately at 11:10 a.m. in the vicinity of North 4200 Road.
Further details provided by investigators indicate that Lane, who was just 18 years old, was walking north across the roadway when the eastbound truck collided with him.
The operator of the commercial vehicle, Chester Gillum, a 54-year-old individual from Crittenden, Arkansas, was reported to be uninjured by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
It has been confirmed by the authorities that the next of kin for Jack R. Lane have been informed.
