According to law enforcement sources, a disturbed man in the Bronx took the lives of three family members, including his aged mother nicknamed the “Golden Girl,” inside a municipal housing complex on Wednesday morning before ending his own life. The incident occurred at Castle Hill Houses shortly before 9:45 a.m.
The deceased individual responsible for the murders was 44 years old. He was scheduled to appear in court on charges related to firearms later that day. The rampage involved the killing of his 75-year-old mother, his daughter, and her partner.
Resident accounts described the elderly victim, later confirmed by neighbors and investigators to be Theresa Stukes, as a well-known figure in the building who was deeply loved by the residents of the housing project.
