Fatal Barre car crash death of Connor Post – Obituary

Police in Barre continue to investigate a tragic single-vehicle crash that resulted in the deaths of two young men and left another occupant fighting for her life.

The crash happened early Friday, Dec. 26, along Hubbardston Road, also known as Route 62. Barre Police Chief James Sabourin confirmed that 20-year-old Connor Post of Gardner and 19-year-old Michael Publicover of Winchendon were killed in the incident.

Authorities identified the driver as Faith O’Rourke, 20, of North Brookfield. She was transported to the hospital and remains in critical condition, according to police.

In the days following the crash, members of the community have come together to support the families affected by the tragedy. A temporary memorial has been established near the crash site, where friends and loved ones have placed flowers and other tributes in remembrance of the victims.
