Fatal Logan County semi-truck crash death of Abdullahi Mohamud – Obituary

Authorities have released the names of the drivers killed in a devastating head-on collision involving two semi-trucks in Logan County on Christmas Eve.

The crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Highway 30, roughly three miles south of Streeter. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the collision involved a 2026 International semi driven by Abdullahi Mohamud of Moorhead, Minnesota, and a 2025 Kenworth operated by Scott Schilling of Wishek. Both drivers were pronounced dead as a result of the crash.

 

A passenger riding in the International semi suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Bismarck for treatment.

 

Highway 30 was shut down for about six hours while emergency crews responded and investigators worked the scene. Officials reported that road and weather conditions were dry at the time of the collision. The North Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
