Fatal Mansfield I-71 crash death of Charlene Lagerberg – Obituary

Charlene Lagerberg, 70, of Columbus, died Monday in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 71 in Mansfield, Ohio.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred around 4:38 a.m. at mile post 166. An 81-year-old driver from Marengo was operating a Jeep Cherokee when it left the roadway and traveled down an embankment, ultimately coming to rest on Vanderbilt Road.

Lagerberg, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the crash.
