Fatal Lancaster, California shooting death of Juan Carlos Ramirez Zuno – Obituary
Juan Carlos Ramirez Zuno, a 19-year-old man, was identified by authorities as the victim of a deadly shooting that occurred late Saturday night in Lancaster.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Elena Street and West Avenue K-14. When deputies arrived, they found Juan Carlos Ramirez Zuno lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound.
Paramedics were called to the scene, but despite their efforts, Ramirez Zuno was pronounced dead at the location of the shooting. The area was secured as investigators began gathering evidence and speaking with witnesses.
Sheriff’s deputies detained two individuals shortly after the incident for questioning. However, authorities have not confirmed whether either person was arrested or if investigators are actively searching for additional suspects. Officials also have not disclosed whether Ramirez Zuno knew the individuals who were detained, and the motive for the shooting remains unknown.
